NO Justice for Phil and Scott.
On June 30, 2026, after only serving 22 years of his sentence, Joseph Tidwell was granted parole under the Elder Parole Law. This is a grave injustice for the families of Phil and Scott and their fellow team members.
Tidwell has not been released yet. All inmates who have been convicted of murder must have their parole approved by the governor. Please stand with the San Gorgonio Search and Rescue team and the families of Phil and Scott and email the governor to encourage him not to grant Tidwell’s parole.
